  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the corned beef to the skillet and stir to combine.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, Chinese five-spice powder, and sesame oil. Pour the mixture into the skillet and bring it to a boil.

  5. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Stir the slurry into the skillet, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.

  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the sauce is thick and flavorful.

  7. Serve the Asian corned beef over cooked rice and garnish with chopped scallions or cilantro, if desired. Enjoy!
